The program proper started with the processional of the honor students together with their parents followed by the  Principals of Cluster 2, the Supervisors, the Guest speaker , GPTA officers, Barangay officials ,  the Faculty and then the entrance of colors led by the Boy Scouts of PZES. Some government officials  were also present to witness the said event.  Among them were Congresswoman Emy Calixto Rubiano, Councilors Donna Vendivel , Wowee Manguerra, Allan Panaligan and Joey Calixto Isidro.

When  all the participants were already inside the Covered court, the Masters of Ceremony,  Mr. Ivan D. Grulla and Annabelle  Jacinto opened the program with  the singing of the National Anthem and a doxology performed by Himig Zamora , PZES choir , conducted by Master Teacher Ivan D. Grulla.

Afterwards, Ms. Eden E. Dioquino, Principal II of PZES, gave her message addressed to the parents, faculty and of course to the honor students.  It was then followed by a special dance number “Kunday-Kunday” from grade 4 students  and right after the dance number,  the awards for extracurricular activities were given to students who excel  in the field of Sports, Journalism, Mathematics, Epp, Araling Panlipunan,  and Science followed by a Ballet dance from selected grade 5 students.

The giving of Certificates for Exemplary teachers of PZES was next.  Trainers, Coordinators, Grade Leaders and Master Teachers were given citation for their efforts and support  to school activities and programs. It was highlighted by the awarding of Service and Loyalty awards for teachers who  spend 32 , 29 and 26 years of dedicated service to the school.

Mrs. Ma Luisa F. Almiñe, Master teacher 1 , gave the introduction of this year’s guest speaker in the person of Dr. Reynaldo V. Guioguio, PZES Alumni Batch 1965.  Mr. Guioguo was  the  school’s  Salutatorian way back in 1965. At present , he is a professor in UP Diliman handling Communication Arts and Journalism.

Right after the message of the speaker, the most awaited part took place, the giving of medals to the honor students from grade 1 to grade 6.  Together with their parents they proudly received their medals as a product of their hard work and dedication to excel in school.

In addition some of the city officials like Congresswoman Emy Calixto Rubiano and  the  city councilors  were also given time to congratulate all the awardees , their parents and  of course the faculty and staff of PZES headed by Ms  Eden E. Dioquino for a job well done.  On the other hand   Ms. Jessica S. Magayanes, Public School Division Supervisor (PSDS) delivered her message to the awardees  of the said event.  She made mention that poverty should not be  a reason to succeed in life.

The last part of the program was intended for the  Turn Over of Responsibility from the Top 5 students  of  grade6 to the top 5 Students of grade 5.  It was the most meaningful part because the responsibility will be transferred to the incoming grade 6 students come SY 2018-2019.

Parangal 2018 as they usually call it ended with happy thoughts and congratulatory messages from our guests and speaker.  Dinner was served after the ceremony at around 6:40 in the evening. The success of the event would not have been possible without the support of our Principal Ms. Eden E. Dioquino , the faculty and staff  of PZES,  the Barangay officials, the City officials of Pasay,  the parents and most especially the  students.
